cool girl skateboards launch party @ fitzgeralds in huntington beach
Cool Girls Nite Out #4
Sep. 10th, Fitzgeralds, Huntington Beach, CA
This was the first time that we did one of our parties down in OC and it was probably the most fun one. We had three killer bands playing, a fun raffle and goodie bags for the first 50 girls who came to the party. It was also the launch of our new skateboard line called Cool Girl Skateboards. Make sure you check out our pink&punk line of skate decks!
The first band on stage were Brass Knuckle Voodoo who played voodoo punk rocknroll. Their singer has an amazing voice and a great presence on stage. Especially their Jimi Hendrix cover was hot!
Then the lovely Angoras entered the stage and you just have to fall in love with their lead singer Paula Angora who is also an amazing guitar player. Everybody had a lot of fun watching them kicking ass!
After that former OC@Nite queen Barbie and me did the raffle. We had a lot of fun doing it and it was good to see the smiles on the faces of the girls and guys who won!
The last band on stage were Franki and the U.F.B. What can I say?! Franki is not just one of our most popular Coolgrrrls, she is also an amazing singer and super cute! I love her voice and the way she rocks out on stage!
Here is my favourite party moment:
James of the Skulls won the pink Fab Faux Fashion purse! I still cant believe it but it was his number and he legally won it!
I want to do a quick shoutout to all our friends and sponsors because this fun party would have been impossible without their help: Thanks to Lucky 13 for the killer give aways and their constant support over the last years, you guys rock, thanks to the Wicked Wahine crew who help pushing girl skateboarding into the limelight and who greatly supported Cool Girl Skateboards since the very beginning, thanks to Tony & Tina cosmetics for the gift bag and the give aways, thanks to Dead Batteries for sponsoring our magazine, thanks to Finger Records for their help and support, they gave us a bunch of killer compilation CDs to give away, they are great guys and they have got some killer bands on board like the Skulls, D.I. and El Centro, thanks to Punkrock Skateboards for the Unit F deck, thanks to Fab Faux Fashion for the purse, a lot of people asked me where we got that purse from, so make sure you check out their website, thanks to Stifle Clothing who jumped on board at the very last minute, I hope you guys had fun at the party and THANKS TO EVERYBODY WHO CAME TO OUR PARTY (please excuse my namedropping here): Jim Monroe, Marcia&Tony, Charlie&Kelly, Barbie&Ellie, Kat, James Hardslug & his wife Kayce, Tammy, Todd & Co. of Wicked Wahine, make sure youll be at their all girl skate contest at Glendale skatepark on Sep. 18th, Ray&Greg of Stifle Clothing, the Libertalia boys, Craig McGahey of punkrock skateboards and his wife Carolyn (I hope you like your Cool Girls Skateboard), Michael of Mystery Train and everybody who showed up!
