I have come home only for a month an there has been heaps happening to me. Not being home for a whole year gave me the best excuse to party out almost every day.

I started of with this cool radio station party NiteFM. I heard from a friend that it was going to be a huge night. She said I’d better be there cuz it’s gonna be pumping. I didn’t really feel like going but oh well. If you work there you just cannot miss a party like that. I went with my friend Bernat and we met 2 nice guys, Jeff and Jacob from San Diego. It turned out that they study in Budapest in the same institution as I do. So the three of us were heading to this party. As you know Americans are very friendly and very welcomed here in Hungary, the guys picked up some groovy chicks on our way to the club. Our number immediately increased to 7. The magic seven. So we got there and all that we saw was a huge mosh-pit in front of the gate. There were so many people and no one wanted to be stuck outside! My friend who recommended the place was of course nowhere to be found. The crowd outside started growing bigger and bigger, people were everywhere and everyone was going crazy. I though I’d better do something, cuz I dragged all my friends here so we had to get in. So me with my 5’3 stature, went to the ‘outside-raging-audience’ and told everyone that I was the girlfriend of Tamas, one of the radio DJs, and suddenly everyone surged backward and I was able to pass freely through the thriving masses. I bought 7 tickets and parted once more the Red Sea. When the other outsiders had seen my success they started coming up to me telling me that they would pay me more for the tickets if I go in again and buy some for them as well. HAHA! Too late. Well when we got in we had to do the whole process again in front of the cloakroom. Well I have to say that all this suffering was worth of it. The bands were superrrrr cool, the radio gave out free CDs, and the audience was great.

My next nite out was another great concert in another great place. Unfortunately this time we had to line up but oh well. It was a French night with heaps of cool French and Hungarian Bands. I went to check out Anima Sound System. They said to be one of the raddest Hungarian Band. Being honest we managed to miss the concert and I was so sad and upset.

My totally spunky Australian friends, Shannon and Josh arrived in Hungary. They are on this European Trip kinda thing. We are putting them up for 2 weeks. It’s cool to meet someone friends from my fav country.

My best friend Brigi came over for a couple of days and we had this girl power night. She is a great hairdresser and she gave all of us this funky hair cuts. We didn’t have an exact plan for the night so I though we should hit the town and pick a club by chance. We got into the city till 11 pm ….still no clue at all about where to go. Well we (I) decided near a huge three story club called BANK, but all we managed to do was to reach the queue, stand there for 15 mins and thought…’nah too boring, let’s go to another place’. It was so late, hardly any buses and stuff, we (I) found out to go to Club Seven another well-visited club. It took us an hour to get there, and it didn’t live up to our expectations and was a bit overrated. So we (I) figured out today’s third lucky club is gonna be at one of the uni’s clubs. After 3 hours cruising around in the city we had better settle in and start partying. Well the place was alright, music was great, we didn’t stop dancing till dawn and walked home in the morning. Oh I so wished to get a piggy back! Anyway, my hair still looks groovy and our tiredness did not stop as to go out on Saturday nite again.

NiteFM (estFM) radio station organised another party, now consistently at a bigger club, with more punkish rockish bands. We hit the spot with the Aussies and had a blast. Met some nice people drank delicious cocktails and champagne and got on stage, try to sing, but having my VIP pass not on me, the security immediately took me off. Well my fame didn’t hold out this time! Tankcsapda (tank trap) www.tankcsapda.hu played a great set, they rocked the place. The drummer chucked his drumsticks to the audience right into Shannon’s hand. He didn’t even have to move, reached out and harvested it, just like the frog does it with the flies. Well it’s not that hard if someone is 6 feet tall!!!!!!

Our next party was at a famous club MEDUZA. Shannon decided to stay at home so I went only with Josh. It was heaps scary cause I always drag one of my girlies, but this time everyone is happened to be too busy. Well I have to say the club didn’t live up its reputation. The place looked heaps funky. It was in an old building and we had to catch a lift to the 4th story. The music was not really my style and the place was too snob for me! I have absolutely no problem with posh clubs and people, but this time it was just TOO much! But it seemed we were the only ones who couldn’t really get into the mood. We met some weird people, Russian chix and an Italian old fart, they heaps looked like the members of the mafia! We sat in these comfy coaches and started watching the dancers, but when this guy came out wearing a very tight bright glittery ‘I-show-you-everything’ pants, we both laughed our head off. But the topping came later. Three German gays danced around this pole, making these pretty clumsy, gangling moves. At that point we knew that it was time to leave! I don’t think I will ever go back again….

Well I still have heaps more places to check out. There are a jazz club, some punk shows, rock concerts, groovy cafés, and raves in my immediate schedule. I so have to get my band together again at least for one more show. I can’t wait to go to Germany and do this huge shopping spree, and I am still not aware of wether I go back to Australia or continue uni here. Well it all remains to be seen…
