I’m sorry, I haven’t written for a while… I’ve been busy with work and something last year. And It’s hard to write in English. But I try to write my report from Tokyo once a month. Yoroshiku! (it means I hope you like it and have fun!)

January 14th @ Shelter, Shimo-Kitazawa
Band: Golfer, Swarm’s Arm, Eleki Bass

It’s a first show for the band called Golfer today. Yusuke of the guitarist is my friend, I really like his loud fuzzy guitar riffs. He used to play in Swarm’s Arm, but he left last year and started to play in the new band. Golfer was totally flesh. It reminds me of early-Velvet Crush, but vocal’s style was different. I didn’t like it (sorry!). I think it should be cool if they play crazy wild instrumental songs!

Swarms’s Arms is one of a my favorite Tokyo band. They are two guitar girls and one guitar boy, and girl and boy vocals like the Vaselines. Shio-san’s vocal is cool, itreminds me of Calvin Johnson (Dub Narcotic Sound System and ex-Beat Happening). I saw them many times, I think this show was SO nice. New guitar girl who has a flower hair pin like Amelia Fletcher (Marine Research, ex-Heavenly) was cute, and front girl Ai looked sexy. They are No.1 pop band (sometime punk rock) band in Tokyo.
