Hey all my fellow coolgrrrls out there. It’s UPDATE time! I’ve had a busy busy last couple of weeks.

So here is the life of Franki lately. You all remember Barbie right? The beautiful and wonderful Orange County Coolgrrrl right before me? Well, I got to experience a sequel of Miss Barbie this past weekend when we hooked up with Kastle to shoot an episode of the TV Show Wild on E! You’ll all love to know that Barbie is doing well, and her life & job is great. We got to hang out and catch up on old times with each other, dance a little, and laugh.. which was great. After all, I found out about Coolgrrrls from Barbie who I met at a Boobie Trap show a couple of years ago. oh… About the show Wild on E! It will be airing in late January to early February of 2003.

This past Saturday Boobie Trap played a show with DOA at the Showcase. DOA gave their all… along with Portrait of Poverty and the other bands who played (can’t remember their names). They also played a show at the Tiki Bar here in Orange County this past Monday night. I’m not sure what was wrong with the sound that night… I got in a little tiff with the sound man from the stage because it was SO BAD for the audience and for us on stage… instead of trying to make it better for the audience and everyone involved, he tried his best to make it worse… you think I’m kidding right? NOPE… he actually tried to sabotage the sound at his own club. I asked him to help with the vocals & bass, so to be a smart ass… He would turn up the vocals all the way then down all the way… then the bass all the way up… then all the way down… Listen up kids… had the show been at Chain Reaction, I am sure it would’ve sounded a little better than the muddy mess I had blaring in my ears. I could BARELY make out the songs. Let me put it this way… THE SOUND SUCKED! Anyway, everyone’s got a right to show non-professionalism- that night was mine and the sound mans turn. At least that’s my opinion… (but hey, it was a punk rock show after all!!!! (uh-oh, am I getting pre-madonnaish?… oh look out!)

Don’t miss these shows either :

Boobie Trap & Channel 3 at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana on Friday the 29th of November…

WAX APPLES & Cadillac Tramps Saturday, December 7 with L.A. band Shut Up Marie and Walter & Devonth. Cadillac Tramps will be featuring new member Matt Beld from Los Infernos playing guitar. We will miss you Mad Dog!
WHERE?: DiPiazza’s located at 5205 E. Pacific Coast Highway (562)498-2461) on
Saturday, December 7th with L.A. band Shut Up Marie and Walter & Devon. 21+ $10.00.

So, if you’re there, you’re there… if you’re not, you’re crazy. If you have never seen Cadillac Tramps or Wax Apples… they are just the best bands to go see live.

I am in anticipation of the new Coolgrrrls cd to come out soon. It will be a great chance to get to experience Coolgrrrls music from all over the globe!

I just got my own website as well… hmmm… www.frankimattson.com and SOON I will actually put something in it… haha.

Anyway, Love you Coolgrrrls and I am sorry this is such a dry update… but there is really not much more I can say… life is quiet. :) And now I will go sleep!
