England Visit
Hey everyone,
My goodness, it’s been a bit of a mad month here is Scotland. At the end of May, I went down to London for a few days, and what a few days they were. I absolutely love Camden Market; I spent every penny I had on some great clothes. I went to the Borderline Club to see a band called “The Hazey Janes” and they were great. They’re from Dundee, Scotland, so I thought I’d go along and support the Scots!
I went to a Rock and Roll night at the Central Hotel in Glasgow and saw a songwriter called Wreckless Eric. He was absolutely fantastic. He performed with just an electric guitar. It was awesome. I was completely blown away with him. Apparently he used to play with “Ian Dury and The Blockheads”.
Last week, I was in rehearsals with my band, when suddenly the door flew open and there was a camera flash and a very smiley man. I was actually in the middle of playing a song when this happened! I later found out that Killing Joke were in the room next door rehearsing, and a member of the band came into our room to take a picture. When I took a break, I got chatting to them and they invited me to the gig they were doing the next night at Glasgow’s SECC. So, I thought I’d go along with my band. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a gig that was sooooo loud! I’ve supported Iggy Pop and The Stooges, and I thought they were loud, but my God!!!!!! After Killing Joke, Motley Crue took to the stage. What a bizarre evening!
I’m still in rehearsals at the moment with my new project, The Hedrons. All is going to plan and sounding really amazing – so watch this space.
Cheers
Tippi
