The Strokes At the Palace, Hollywood photos by Kastle Call them what you want -- "Next Big Thing," "Buzz Band," "All the Rage In England" -- one thing is for sure, the scruffy bunch of New York City newcomers known as the Strokes have created the biggest musical stir of the year. With sounds reminiscent of bands long-gone such as Television and the Velvet Underground, they are fast becoming mainstream contenders. In Los Angeles, they went from playing the intimate Dragonfly club to selling out the Troubadour to two sold-out nights at the Palace.
